Enjoy Each Day!

My son at the beach 2012
Can you believe it's July already? Where did the month of June go? Either I slept through the whole 30 days or I was super busy, the time vanished too quickly.

I did complete a couple of children's story projects, one is still in the works with an illustrator. I started a new project, that I'm extremely excited about. It's also summer break for the children, but I'm stuck in an office all day. Storms have also been sweeping through town, which I enjoy, too.

How often are we able to enjoy each day to the fullest? Do you long for the carefree days of your childhood? I live near the beach, but guess how often we go...once every few years, probably. It's horrible, right?

Do something every day that puts a smile on your face. Live in the here and now, forget the past. You can't change it.

Here's to a pleasant July for everyone!

Yeah I long for the carefree days once more, but then I suppose it would get boring after a while, who knows as June sure flew by.

I closed down my classroom on June 7, so I've had 3 weeks off so far. And in that time, I've done a copy-edit on my upcoming book, spent a week on my new WIP, and entertained out of town guests.

I'd say it's been a pretty full summer so far. Thanks for the reminder to enjoy it -- instead of anxiously jumping from activity to activity and worrying about being productive.

It's summertime here for sure. Four days in a row of 100+ temps! June was a rough month for me. So busy.

Now I'm missing the beach. Is it possible for June to have gone so quick, and so slow, at the same time? Trippy month, I tell you. :)

Amen to that message Miranda. I am glad to be back, but am equally sad that June slipped by so quickly.

Yea beaches and sand though!

Great post, Miranda. This is why I've been blogging so sporatically. We've been out enjoying the summer and I know that it's the one thing I'll never feel guilty about -- spending time with the kids:) Enjoy the beach time - your son looks so happy and in that picture!

June was cold and rainy which meant great writing weather. Not sure how I'll stay focused if the sun comes out. ^_^

June did seem to fly by! And July doesn't look to be slowing down any. :)

We are having one of many expected heat waves in Toronto, Canada. I crave the beach and living moment to moment. Thanks for the reminder!

This year all the days seemed to have disappeared! I feel a little lost with the date...
I am happy to see your projects seem to be going well! And I hope you get some time in the summer to just sit and relax, and enjoy! :)

I love the beach. I couldn't imagine not living near a coast. It's soul-affirming.

I hope you get to the beach more this year.

And good luck on your projects.
