Seashells and Dreams...

Naples, FL September 2012 Miranda Hardy
It's been so long since my last post. School has started and I've ventured somewhat into a new schedule. We also had a record downpour that took the kids out of school for a few days. That was fun. Thank you Isaac!

And this past weekend, I took off with Ainsley Shay and crashed in beautiful Naples, FL for a writer's retreat getaway. It was wonderful!

Now, trying to get into a regular routine again may take a few days. I'll be dreaming of the beach on the west coast with the calm waves and inspiring seashells.

When was the last time you were able to escape your every day world? This is why I read and write fiction. I visit so many locales and destinations in my imagination, it brings a smile to my face.

Have a great week everyone!

Good to see you again, Miranda. Your picture reminded me of a lovely afternoon I spent collecting seashells on the beach in Naples with friends. February 2011. The retreat must have amazing.

Oh wow, Naples is gorgeous and that sounds so relaxing. Like you, I really am struggling with the back to school grind for the kids. We had such a great summer, it was hard to see it end!

Glad Issac wasn't too mean and word up to Naples... (we used to live near Cocoa Beach and I will *never* forget the *FOUR* hurricanes - in six weeks - that came through Central Florida in 2004 :)

I'm doing a writer retreat in October in Oregon and I can't wait!

I've been too busy stuck in editing land lately. I'm hoping to visit writer world next week.
